Industry requirement

The ABE ACT Owner-Builder Course, developed with the assistance of industry experts, is approved by the Office of Regulatory Services and will provide you with the educational requirements mandated to apply for your owner-builder permit.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the White Card (Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) is a mandatory requirement of the ACT Worksafe authority for all ACT owner builders. We deliver the White Card CPCCWHS1001 fully online.

Industry requirement
In order to become an owner-builder in NSW, you must complete the NSW Fair Trading mandated educational requirements which came into effect on July 15, 2015. These requirements include this course and a recent White Card. While not a prerequisite to commencing this course, in order for you to obtain an owner builder permit, NSW Fair Trading will require you to produce a White card when applying.

The ABE QLD Owner-Builder Course is prescribed by the QLD Building and Construction Commission and will provide you with the educational requirements mandated to apply for your owner-builder permit.

IMPORTANT: A construction induction White Card is a mandatory requirement by QLD Work Safe for all QLD owner builders.
